FreqCheck Laboratory Metrology Bench

Every metrology lab in the world runs on the same premise: if you can't measure it, you can't prove it. FreqCheck puts that premise in your pocket. Point it at any sound, any recording, any signal — and see, in real time, exactly what's really there. No lab technician. No rack of equipment. Just certified physics, running locally on the device you already own.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ROGA INSTRUMENTS · GERMANY
FreqCheck™ is an independent software engine developed by Abundance Sea, LLC, operating in technical partnership with ROGA Instruments for accredited hardware data acquisition.
Roga Instruments
TWENTY YEARS OF MEASUREMENT HARDWARE.
NOW SPEAKING A LANGUAGE THE APPLE ECOSYSTEM HAS NEVER HEARD.

Roga Instruments didn't build a reputation. They built a standard — the kind other manufacturers get measured against. For twenty years, as the authorized distributor for TEAC Europe GmbH and TEAC Instruments (Japan), Roga's hardware has carried compliance marks that most acoustic equipment never earns: DIN IEC 61094-4 for working standard microphones, IEC 60942 Class 1 for acoustic calibration, WS2F certification for infrasonic front-vented sensors. Their software processes sound power data against ISO 3741, ISO 3744, ISO 3745, and ISO 7779 — the same protocols governing reverberation chambers, anechoic rooms, and certified industrial testing environments worldwide. Their impedance tubes meet both ISO and ASTM material standards.

That kind of record doesn't come from a company that rounds up. It comes from the same instruments passing the same demanding checks for two decades, without exception.

That rigor has always lived on a bench, in a rack, behind a Windows machine. Until now.

THE CLAIM

Until this test, there was no documented instance of an Apple mobile device natively capturing, processing, and cryptographically sealing a clean 0.2 Hz signal.

Rogá drove sub-Hz telemetry directly through the iSV1611 into FreqCheck, on camera, with a function generator supplying a known, verifiable signal instead of an acoustic approximation.

The result is a mathematically indisputable demonstration that an iPhone can execute Class 1 metrology step-for-step against legacy bench systems — not an estimate of it, not a simulation of it, the same math, the same standard, the same result.

BEING THE FIRST FULLY DOCUMENTED INSTANCE OF THIS ON RECORD IS A DISTINCTION THAT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
THE LOG FILE / PDF EVIDENCE

The video isn't the only record of this test. Every reading generated during the demonstration produced a sealed PDF report, timestamped and hashed the moment it was created.

That means the visual proof in the video and the underlying numerical proof in the report are two independent records of the same event, generated automatically, with no manual step in between where either could be altered.

Anyone reviewing this test isn't relying on a demonstration alone — they have the video and the certified data trail behind it, cross-referencing each other.

HAVING BOTH THE VIDEO AND THE SEALED REPORT ON RECORD IS WHAT TURNS A DEMONSTRATION INTO EVIDENCE.
THE MOBILE FIELD STANDARD
BEYOND SOUND: STRUCTURAL & SEISMIC VIBRATION SENSING

The same iSV1611 body that just proved itself down to 0.2 Hz of infrasound also functions as a digital charge amplifier for external accelerometers, connected through the Rogá K65 adapter.

One physical instrument now carries both an acoustic front end and a vibration front end, so switching between air and structure-borne measurement means changing an adapter, not changing your toolkit.

Field engineers no longer need to justify carrying, insuring, and maintaining two separate certified systems for two related disciplines.

CARRYING A SINGLE CLASS 1 INSTRUMENT THAT COVERS BOTH ACOUSTIC AND SEISMIC METROLOGY SIMPLIFIES EVERY FIELD DEPLOYMENT.
THE FIELD TRIP IS OPTIONAL NOW.
THE LAB STANDARD ISN'T.
UNCOMPROMISING SIGNAL INTELLIGENCE

At rest: true zero, no drift, no false signal. Tap LIVE, and the same 32,768-point FFT math used in rack-mounted lab analyzers locks a full waveform instantly — no estimation, no smoothing.

The gap between "I think I hear something" and "I can prove it" is one tap.
TWO INSTRUMENTS. ONE ENGINE. YOUR CALL.

One toggle in Instrumentation Settings — Pro Input Mode (PIM) — switches FreqCheck between two states:

  • Off: Streamlined scanner. Point the mic, tap LIVE, get your reading.
  • On: The signal-score screen becomes a live metrology panel. iOS audio filters and automatic gain control step aside completely, granting direct manual control over the variables that used to belong to bench equipment only.

Dual preset slots let you save two hardware configurations and recall them with one tap instead of re-entering values in the field.

Pro Input Mode Configuration

Sample Rate, Locked to the Clock You Choose

PIM forces the iOS audio session to handshake with external hardware at strict, selectable rates — 44.1, 48.0, 96.0, or 192.0 kHz — while FFT bin resolution scales automatically. That means your calculations stay anchored to true NIST-traceable precision no matter which piece of hardware you connect.

Manual Calibration, Entered by Hand

ADC voltage ceilings, sensor sensitivity coefficients, and acoustic offsets are now yours to enter directly. That means your mobile readings scale to match laboratory bench equipment precisely, down to the sub-Hz decimal.

YOUR FIELD DATA AND YOUR BENCH DATA ARE FINALLY THE SAME DATA.
IND CORE Live Metrology Snapshot
THE ACCREDITED FORM FACTOR

Pro Input Mode is built to work with standard 1", 1/2", and 1/4" measurement microphones — the exact physical dimensions external accredited calibration bodies require before they'll issue a certificate against any instrument. Matching that established form factor means the hardware feeding FreqCheck isn't a proprietary workaround — it's the same physical standard every accredited lab microphone in the world is already built to. That compatibility is what lets a FreqCheck-based field setup move through the same accreditation and capital-equipment approval pathway as traditional rack-mounted systems, instead of requiring a separate justification.

BUILDING ON A PHYSICAL STANDARD THE ENTIRE ACCREDITATION INDUSTRY ALREADY RECOGNIZES IS WHAT KEEPS YOUR METROLOGY INVESTMENT FULLY DEFENSIBLE.
UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY: BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT

FreqCheck is engineered to be a hardware-agnostic metrology bridge. While the Roga Instruments iSV1611 establishes the ultimate portable standard, Pro Input Mode (PIM) natively handshakes with any class-compliant USB audio interface, external DAQ system, or third-party analog-to-digital converter.

That means whether you are hot-swapping capsules on a handheld microphone, or routing a legacy multi-channel sensor array through a USB bridge into your iPad, the IND CORE™ engine processes the incoming telemetry with identical mathematical rigor.

You are not locked into a closed hardware ecosystem; your existing high-end sensors simply gain an immutable, LIMS-ready processing layer.

AN ISO 17025 LIMS-COMPLIANT EDGE COMPONENT
Standard vs Pro Input Mode Comparison

Traditional acoustic workflows end in an exported CSV file — a format any downstream user can open and silently alter without leaving a trace. Every FreqCheck PDF is stamped with the exact metrology configuration (sample rate, ADC ceiling, sensitivity) and sealed with a SHA-256 hash. Because this prevents post-test tampering, FreqCheck is a fully qualified, ready-to-deploy data source for any enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Field engineers capture the event, generate the sealed PDF, and ingest it directly into the LIMS database with perfect metrological traceability.

FEEDING A LIMS WITH DATA THAT IS SEALED AT THE MOMENT OF CAPTURE GIVES EVERY ENTERPRISE AUDIT AN UNSHAKABLE FOUNDATION.
YOUR ARCHIVE JUST BECAME ADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE

FreqCheck runs the identical IND CORE™ analysis on a file already sitting on your device — a prior field recording, an archived legacy capture, audio pulled from existing case files — exactly as it does on a live signal coming through the iSV1611.

That means the same sub-Hz precision demonstrated live in this video applies retroactively to recordings your organization already has sitting in storage, untouched for years.

Evidence you assumed was locked in an old file format, on an old drive, in an old case folder, can be re-opened and re-certified without a single new recording session.

TURNING EXISTING RECORDINGS INTO NEWLY CERTIFIED EVIDENCE IS WHERE THIS BECOMES GENUINELY TRANSFORMATIVE. Learn more about supported formats & test files → Data Importing
